In Assam, two hardcore militants belonging to Muslim United Liberation Tigers of Asom (MULTA) have been apprehended in a joint operation by the Army and the Police in Dhubri district today. The security forces launched operation on receiving intelligence inputs that the militants were taking shelter at Golokganj and Ramahaat areas of the district with a motive to disrupt the on-going Durga Puja celebrations and arrested them. Our correspondent reports, a pistol, an one kilogram crude bomb and some ammunition have been recovered from the arrested ultras.
