Assam Rifles inks Tripartite MoU to establish Centre of Excellence, Wellness to secure better future for youth of Nagaland

<span style="color: #222222;">Assam Rifles, Axis Bank and National Integrity and Educational Development Organisation (NIEDO) yesterday inked a Tripartite Memorandum of Understanding to establish a Centre of Excellence and Wellness to secure a better future for the youth of Nagaland. The centre named Late Capt N. Kenguruse MVC Centre of Excellence and Wellness will be located at Chieswema in Kohima district.<br />'' <br />'' The MoU was signed by Deputy Inspector General of Police Brigadier Herjinder Singh of Assam Rifles, Chief Executive Officer of NIEDO Dr. Rohit Srivastava and Corporate Affairs Head of Axis Bank Rudrapriyo Ray at IGAR (North) Headquarters in the presence of Minister of Tribal Affairs and Higher Education Temjen Imna Along and Inspector General Major General Vikas Lakhera.<br />'' <br />'' Under the MoU, 30 children including boys and girls from economically weaker sections, will be selected from Nagaland and provided free residential coaching to prepare the students for entry to medical and engineering colleges.<br />'' <br />'' This will be a fully sponsored annual programme which will give a platform for talented and deserving students from the rural, semi- rural and non-urban areas to avail requisite coaching and grooming for clearing mainstream competitive exams.<br />'' <br />'' Minister for Tribal Affairs and Education Temjen Imna Along termed the occasion as a Red Letter Day. He said, Late Captain Kenguruse was an epitome of nationalism, bravery and a true Naga.<br />'' <br />'' He lauded the Assam Rifles for their constant efforts in providing humanitarian services to the villagers, elderly and under-privileged.<br />'' <br />'' The Minister also expressed appreciation to the Axis Bank and NIEDO for their venture into the state's educational development.<br />'' <br />''He said, India is now a robust and dynamic economy and Nagas should not weaver. The Minister said the Modi Government is turning the Act East Policy into a reality and North East has become the heartbeat of India.</span><br />
