<span style="color: #222222;">In Assam, primary schools in the state reopened today and it was a heartening sight to see students wearing masks attending school after a gap of 10 months. A set of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) has been issued by the Assam government on reopening of schools. According to the SOP, lower primary schools will open for classes on alternate days for classes from I to V. The SOP mandates the issued guidelines for government and private institutions. It states that schools will open at 9 AM and end at 1.45 PM. Mid-day meals in government schools are to be provided between 12.15 to 12.45 PM.&nbsp; All school premises will be sanitized once a week. Classes of IV and V will be held on every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday while &nbsp;classes of I, II, and III standard will be held on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.&nbsp;</span><br />
