The Assam Government has re-constituted the State Commission for Minorities with immediate effect. A Member of the State Legislative Assembly and eminent Advocate Abdul Muhib Mazumdar has been made the Chairman of the re-constituted Commission. According to official sources, former Principal of Cotton College Dr. Mukti Dev Choudhury and social activist Mr. Allen Brooks have been made the members of the Commission.
