In Assam, the ruling coalition partner of Congress, Bodoland People’s Front declared its first list containing 17 names. State Agriculture minister Pramila Rani Brahma, Transport and Rural Development minister Chandan Brahma and minister of Public Health Engineering Rihon Daimary retains party ticket from Kokrajhar(West),Sidli and Udalguri respectively. The party likely to declare its next candidates list within 15th of this month. The BJP is also likely to announce its third candidates list today.The party has already announced its candidates in 60 constituencies. The party has also declared to contest in all 126 constituencies without any alliance. Earlier in the day, the formal notification has been issued for the first phase of Assembly Election scheduled to be held on 4th of next month. The last day of filing nominations for this phase of election has been fixed on 17th March. Election Commission today launched the round-the-clock toll free call centre with common number of 1965 at Guwahati. Any individual or political party will now be able to lodge complaints on misuse of official machinery, violation of model code of conduct or malpractice during the election by dialling this number.
