Assam police has reached Varanasi to take custody of arrested main accused of Guwahati molestation case, Amarjyoti Kalita on transit remand to Guwahati for further interrogation into the case. Kalita was arrested yesterday from Lanka police area near Banaras Hindu University in Uttar Pradesh. Police has claimed that he has accepted his involvement into the case during interrogation. He will be produced before the court tomorrow.Inspector General Law and Order of UP police Badri Prasad Singh told our correspondent that Assam police had provided information about Kalita's movements to Varanasi police. A cash reward of one lakh rupees was announced for his arrest. With his arrest, 14 of the 17 identified molesters have been arrested so far.
