Participating in a talk show on AIR last night, Additional DGP Harmeet Singh emphasized that no one should cross the legal line while using social media. He said that police have found 246 social media posts as abusive, offensive during the CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) protest in the state.<br />''<br />''Mr. Singh said that 36 cases have been registered and 16 persons were arrested. He said that several persons were allowed to go after counselling. He said that the state government and Assam police emphasized on using social media as a tool of positive engagement. He said that people of the state extended supports to police in maintaining a positive atmosphere in social media during CAA protest. </span><br />
