In Assam, National Democratic Alliance Presidential candidate Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to meet MPs and MLAs of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and its allies, the Asom Gana Parishad and the United Peoples' Party Liberal today at 6 p.m. to seek support for the July 18 polls.<br />'' <br />'' It may be mentioned that the BJP has nine Lok Sabha and four Rajya Sabha MPs from the state while the AGP and the UPPL have one member each in the Upper House. The 126-member State Legislative Assembly currently comprises 78 MLAs of the ruling NDA including 62 legislators of the BJP, nine of the AGP, and seven of the UPPL.<br />'' <br />''All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) chief and Lok Sabha MP Badruddin Ajmal also said that his party, which has 15 MLAs in Assam will support Ms. Murmu in the upcoming elections.
