In Assam, a Group of Ministers will visit Goalpara today to take stock of the situation, following killing of 7 persons on Sunday night by Garo militants. The 4-member team is likely to meet the officials and local people. Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has already instructed the DGP and Chief Secretary to nab the culprits and to ensure trouble free Rabha Hasong Council poll to held from 13th of this month. Our correspondent reports thet Goalpara district administration has imposed indefinite night curfew from 7pm to 6 am along Assam and Meghalaya border. A massive combing operation has been carried out by the army, para-military forces and the Assam police in affected areas. Nine columns of the army and 28 companies of security forces are also maintaining a strict vigil to uphold law and order situation. More forces will go to the Rabha Hasong area to tackle the situation. Along with security measures, steps have been taken to hold peace meeting involving people from all communities to maintain social harmony
