Assam Linguist Minority Board chairman meets Meghalaya Governor

Assam State Linguist Minority Board chairman, Shiladitya Dev on Friday called on the Meghalaya Government to take stringent action against the perpetrators of crime against the linguistic minorities besides setting up of a Meghalaya Linguist Minority Board in the State.<br />'' <br />''The Chairman who visited the State and interacted with local leaders, members of the Civil Society groups and citizens said that a sense of insecurity prevails amongst the linguistic minority at the backdrop of the Meghalaya Government not taking action against criminals. Citing recent instances of assault cases where many non locals were assaulted, he said they are criminals and should not be protected under linguistic or communal lines.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The Chairman also met the Meghalaya Governor Satya Pal Malik along with Former Health Minister and BJP MLA AL Hek urging him to take the issue with the State Government.</span><br />
