In Assam, no untoward incident has been reported in the last 24 hours in the violence hit Bodoland Territorial Areas District, BTAD.State Law and Order IGP, L R Bishnoi said that situation is limping back to normalcy as security has been intensified in Kokrajhar, Chirang and Dhubri districts. However, indefinite curfew continues in Chirang district as a precautionary measure. Police has arrested 18 miscreants for indulging in violent activities. The Army is continuing Flag March in sensitive areas. Para-military forces and Assam Police have also been deployed in the three districts. Around 80 security pickets have been set-up in the vulnerable areas to maintain law and order situation.A Group of Ministers headed by state Revenue minister Prithivi Majhi has been constituted to monitor and coordinate relief and rehabilitation measures. Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi already instructed Chief Secretary to ensure that not a single life is lost due to lack of medical care.A total of 117 doctors are being deployed in the violence hit areas.14 Mobile Medical Units, 87 ambulances and 13 Sanjeevani mobile medical vehicles have been deputed .Special health check up camps are being held at the relief camps. Health department has been distributing special kits for 10 thousand babies below two years at the relief camps.
