Assam: Kaziranga National Park plans various measures for safety of wildlife

In Assam, the Kaziranga National park is planning various measures for the safety of the wildlife. The park Director P Shivkumar told AIR that flood water damaged infrastructure this year to the tune of 5 crore rupees. <br />'' <br />''The Director of the World Heritage Site said that a 32 kilometer long highway cum highland to be constructed. He further said that construction work to be started in winter period. <br />''<br />''He mentioned that animal sensor to be installed at 6 more locations along the national highway between Kaliabor – Bokakhat for the safety of the animals. It would help in detecting high speed vehicles and would also provide access to animal movements. Mr. Shivkumar mentioned that if everything goes as per plan the park will be opened for visitors in October.<br />
