In Assam, a grand peace rally was organized at Kokrajhar on Friday morning with an aim to restore peace in the violence hit Bodo heartland. Several political leaders along with thousands of locals and students took part in the run for peace which was organized by the Army. There was much enthusiasm among the participants who braved the winter chill to take part in the rally with sincere wishes for peace to return to Kokrajhar that has been bogged down by violence and senseless killing in recent times. Bodoland Territorial Council Chief, Mr Hagrama Mohilary, Member of Parliament, Mr Sangsuma Bwismuthairy and several top army officials were present when the peace run was flagged off in the morning
