<span style="color: #222222;">The Assam government is to start random Covid tests at some of the selected places across the state. Talking to AIR, Mission Director of National Health Mission Dr. Lakshamanan S said that training has been provided to those who would conduct the Covid -19 tests. He said that municipal areas, officies, markets areas will be covered in all districts. <br />''<br />''Dr. Lakshamanan further said that due to lockdown in Guwahati, the number of cases has decreased in the city. He said that sufficient beds are available in the state and new Covid care centres are also being set up at various places. The Mission Director said that 9 thousand beds are available in Kamrup and Kamrup Metro districts as of now. Assam has so far 8 thousand 85 active cases.</span><br />
