Assam Government has decided to rehabilitate around 12 thousand displaced families in the first phase who have land ownership documents. This decision was taken in a meeting between state group of ministers and representative of Bodoland Territorial Council, BTC in Kokrajhar today.Revenue Secretary said that, they will be rehabilitated in their villages within a month. On the other, government will verify antecedents of those who do not have valid land documents. Around two lakh 40 thousand people have taken shelter in camps.Meanwhile, classes have been resumed in most of the schools in Dhubri district today. District administration has made temporary arrangements to resume normal classes, as many schools are being used as relief camps. Over 50 percent high and higher secondary schools have also resumed normal classes .Classes in the remaining schools are likely to resume in another 10 days.Gauhati High Court today granted bail to Bodoland Peoples Front MLA Pradeep Kumar Brahma. Assam police arrested Brahma for his alleged involvement in the recent violence.
