The Assam Government has decided to implement the Right to Education Act in the state from the current academic year. This was disclosed by State Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma in Guwahati on Monday. State government will open four more universities and 12 new Government colleges for the purpose. Similarly, the number of primary, middle and higher secondary level schools will be increased to cover each and every village. Dr Sharma said, recruitment of 31 thousand primary and middle school teachers will be completed within next four months.
