Assam Govt to give Rs. 20 lakh exgratia to armed forces, paramilitary personnel from Assam martyred outside state

<span style="color: #222222;">In Assam, the state cabinet today decided to give an ex gratia of 20 lakh rupees to the armed forces and paramilitary personnel from Assam, martyred outside the state. <br />''<br />'' The cabinet meet chaired by Chief Minister Sarbanand Sonowal in Guwahati also approved provision for eviction of encroachers from Satra land in the Assam Land & Revenue Regulation, 1886. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' The cabinet decided to reduce minimum age for appointment of Gaon Burhas from 35 to 25 years. The cabinet also decided, any person having more than 2 children will not be eligible to apply for post of Gaon Burha.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />''The state government also announced an ex gratia of 20 lakh rupees to family members of martyred SSB personnel Neeraj Chetry, who was killed in a Maoist attack in Dumka in Jharkhand. Chetry hailed from Helem in Biswanath district of Assam.</span><br />
