Assam government is likely to conduct Gross State Happiness Index survey. The survey will be undertaken in collaboration with IIT Guwahati, Flinders University of Australia and supported by the United Nations Development Programme, UNDP. Talking to AIR, Dr. Seeta Prabhu, Senior Adviser to the UNDP says that if plan goes well, Assam will be the first state in the country to undertake such survey. The survey will be initiated on the model of the Bhutan Gross National Happiness, BGNH.
