Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has said that his government will carry forward the peace process with banned outfit ULFA and other groups. Addressing the third and final day of the inaugural session of the 13th State Assembly on Wednesday, Mr.Gogoi said that the Assam government is committed to achieve overall progress of the state. He also said steps will be taken to tackle the issue of corruption. Meanwhile, Senior Congress leader Bhimanand Tanti has been elected unanimously as the Deputy Speaker of the house. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mr. Nilamani Sen Deka placed the CAG report of Assam Government on Revenue Receipts for the year ended 31st March, 2010.After that, Speaker Pranab Gogoi adjourned the house sine die.
