The Assam government has started surveillance at land custom stations near international borders to prevent the spread of coronavirus. <br />'' <br />'' Talking to newspersons in Guwahati, Minister of State for Health Pijush Hazarika and Commissioner- Secretary ( Health ) Anurag Goel said that 585 passengers have been screened at various airports in the state. Mr. Hazarika said that no positive cases have been found so far and the government is fully prepared to tackle the situation.<br />'' <br />'' The Minister said that 127 persons who came in contact with the US citizen who was found positive in Bhutan, have been traced. He visited Assam before reaching Bhutan. The Minister also said that 200 tourists have also been screened at Kaziranga national park. <br />'' <br />'' Mr. Goel informed that 600 beds have been earmarked for quarantine. Both of them urged people to avoid mass gatherings.<br />
