<span style="color: #222222;">The Assam government has decided to start a scholarship scheme for children of tea tribe community, studying in 10th and 12th classes. It would cover students of all tea gardens in the state. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">An amount of 10 thousand rupees will be provided to each student. This was decided in a meeting of State Level Advisory Committee for the Welfare of the Tea Community held in Guwahati, in presence of Chief Minister Sarbanand Sonowal.<br />'' <br />'' Official sources said the existing scholarship schemes run by the state government for the benefit of the tea community students would be continued. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">To make the intended beneficiaries aware of the various schemes being implemented by the state and the Centre, 'Shramik Mitras' would be appointed in every tea garden.</span>
