The Assam government has sought 15 additional companies from the Centre to deploy in violence hit Karbi Anglong district. Official sources in Guwahati said that additional forces are likely to depute at sensitive areas to maintain law and order situation. State PWD will undertake repairing works of 2 roads in the district to facilitate security deployment.16 fixed security pickets have been set up.Tight security arrangement has been made at villages in Bokajan sub-division. Meanwhile, a team of senior officials of the Assam government has left Guwahati this morning .They will visit the relief camps in Karbi Anglong and take stock of the situation. Around 3 thousand 800 villagers are taking shelter at nine relief camps. The team will review the relief and rehabilitation measures.
