<span style="color: #222222;">Assam government has said that it will make the state free from arsenic and fluoride in the next 2 years. Participating in an AIR talk show in Guwahati last night, Public Health Engineering Minister Rihon Daimari said that some areas in 23 districts are affected by arsenic while fluoride found in some places of 12 districts. The Minister has said that steps are being taken to make those areas free from arsenic and fluoride. <br />''<br />''Mr. Daimari said that mass awareness will help in completely removing single use plastic from the society. He appealed people not to use single use plastic and to use alternative products which are not harmful to environment and health. He said that nearly 33 lakh rural households toilets are constructed under Swacch Bharat Mission and after declaring the state ODF, now emphasis is to maintain sustainability of those toilets. The Minister also said that safe drinking water to all rural households will be given under Jal Jeevan Mission in the state.</span><br />
