Assam govt reduces home quarantine period of recovered COVID-19 patients to 7 days

The Assam government has decided to reduce the home quarantine period of recovered COVID-19 patients from 14 days  to 7 days. In an order, it  also said that the government will not provide essential items worth 2000 rupees except to the BPL  families, elderly people and to Divyangjan.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Earlier the Assam  government provided essential items of 2 thousand rupees to households of all COVID-19 positive patients who got discharged from hospital and had to spend 14 days in-home quarantine.  However, Deputy Commissioners are authorised to extend this benefit to other families including elderly, ailing, Divyangjan if required. There are 8 thousand 81 active cases in Assam.</span><br />
