Assam will be the first State to implement tele-radiology facilities across government hospitals.Addressing the media in Guwahati on Sunday, the Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said in the first phase, the project would be implemented in 11 hospitals of the state.Once implemented, the proposed radiology hub would provide opportunity to patients to get all medical reports without visiting hospitals.The Minister also said that a pilot project involving tele-radiology was already started at Haflong hospital.Dr. Sarma said that Sarathi 104- the health information service received more than 10 lakh phone calls since November till January 5.
