Assam govt fixes charges for COVID patients in super specialty and other hospitals in private sector

<span style="color: #222222;">The Assam government has fixed the charges for COVID patients in super specialty and other hospitals in private sectors. Health Minister Keshab Mahanta said that for general wards, a super specialty hospital can charge a maximum of Rs 5 thousand per day while a non- super specialty hospital can charge Rs 4 thousand. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr. Mahanta said that a super specialty hospital may charge Rs 15 thousand per day from a patient for ICU with ventilator facility. For the same service, the non- super specialty hospitals may charge Rs 12 thousand. The charges would also include registration, bed and food, oxygen, nursing and consultation.</span><br />''  <br />
