Assam govt. announces ex-gratia for families killed in cyclonic storm

The Government of Assam has announced an ex-gratia of three lakh rupees to the families of those killed in the cyclonic storm that lashed several parts of the Dhubri district, bordering Bangladesh, on Wednesday night. According to official sources, four persons died at Baghapara village under the Mankachar Police Station area of the district. Dwelling houses of around 350 families were damaged in South Salmara area. The district authorities have released immediate relief measures among the cyclone-affected families. Meanwhile, the district administration has installed a helpline telephone bearing number 03662-230050 repeat 03662-230050 for proper monitoring of the relief and rehabilitation measures in the cyclone-affected areas.
