Assam govt announces CM's Sishu Sewa Scheme for children who lost parents due to COVID-19

<span style="color: #222222;">The Assam government has announced Chief Minister's Sishu Sewa Scheme for the welfare of those children who lost parents due to COVID-19.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Talking to newspersons in Guwahati, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the scheme would be launched on the occasion of the seven years' completion of the Modi government.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr. Sarma said that monthly scholarship of Rs. 3,500 per month would be given to those children who lost their parents or the bread earner, but have their extended family members.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">On the other hand, those children who do have not extended family members they would get free residential educational facilities.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr. Sarma further said that a girl would also be given one tola of gold and Rs. 50,000 during her marriage.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said that such children will also get free computer and also vocational training.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said that Education and Social Welfare Department would implement the scheme and Child Protection Society will monitor it's implemention.</span><br />''  <br />
