Assam government has set up a State Help line to facilitate those who have returned home from other states. Official sources said that people can avail online registration at online.assam.gov.in or send SMS to 78960-60012 numbers. State government has also provided a help line number in Guwahati. The number is 0361-2724555.Around 35 thousand people have returned home from other states recently in the wake of SMS threat. North-East Frontier railway will run a special train between Guwahati-Bangalore on 1st September at 1.30 pm. It may be recalled that Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister R Ashoka in his recent visit to Guwahati and Imphal appealed all who have returned home from Bangalaore to come back. Most of them expressed willingness to return to their places of works or studies.
