In Assam, the security forces have apprehended five extremists belonging to the anti-talk Ranjan Daimary faction of NDFB and seized explosives. According to police sources, two extremists were arrested from Dholpur in Upper Assam's Lakhimpur district on Friday. Based on their information during interrogation, security forces recovered three kgs of explosives and a pistol with seven rounds of ammunition.<br/><br/>In another operation, a joint team of the state police and army arrested three NDFB extremists from Lower Assam's Baksa district. Two of the extremists were apprehended from Labdanguri area and another was arrested from Sohagpur area.
