In Assam, the flood situation in Dhemaji district continues to be grim as surging water submerged around 235 villages. The surging water of the Brahmaputra breached Sisikalghar embankment at Jonnichuk and Namdang last night. The National Disaster Response Force rescued around three thousand people today. The District administration has set up 10 relief camps to shelter the affected people. The Brahmaputra and its few tributaries are maintaining a rising trend at a few places.
