Assam: Flood situation improving, Relief measures intensified

<span style="color: #222222;">In Assam , the flood situation is gradually improving . However, 20 lakh people are still reeling under the effects of floods in 22 districts. The death toll has gone up to 104 and over 1 lakh hectare of crop areas are also marooned. <br />''<br />''45,000 people are taking shelter at government run relief camps . Goalpara, Dhubri , Barpeta are among the worst affected districts.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Relief measures are being intensified at flood affected districts. Flood situation is slightly improved at the Kaziranga national park. Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal visited the affected areas of Buroi river at Lalpukhuri in Biswanath. <br />''<br />''The Chief Minister along with ministers Ranjit Dutta and Keshab Mahanta, took stock of erosion protection measures on the bank of Chatrang river at Gohpur. </span>
