In Assam, flood situation improved in the districts of Brahamaputra valley due to good weather conditions. However, the situation still remains critical in the Barak valley. Rescue operations are underway in the Barak valley by the various agencies. Essential food items are being airdropped by the Air Force. Nearly 2.85 lakh people are staying at Relief Camps across the state. Overall, 45 lakh people have been affected in 30 district during the last 24 hours.
