In Assam, the flood condition in Dhemaji and Lakhimpur districts slightly improved today with water level level receding. There is no report of flood water inundating any new village so far. Around 4 thousand people have taken shelter at 10 relief camps in Dhemaji.Water level in Bongaigaon district also receded .While 8 new villages at Majuli Island have been submerged in Jorhat district , 20 villages are still reeling under flood waters at Mancachar and Fakiraganj.
