In Assam, the Election Commission on Wednesday ordered fresh poll in 10 polling centres of six Assembly segments that went to polls in first phase of elections on 4th April in Barak Valley. Re-polling will be held on Thursday from 7.00 a.m. to 3.00 in the afternoon. The Commission has ordered re-poll in these voting centres following reports of electoral malpractices and technical defects in EVM machines.
