The Guwahati city has been brought under security blanket in view of Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh’s scheduled visit to Assam tomorrow. The anti-talk faction of the banned outfit has given a 12-hour state-wide bandh call tomorrow to protest the Prime Minister’s visit. Meanwhile, as a precautionary measure, the Northeast Frontier Railway has cancelled 10 trains and rescheduled four others till tomorrow. The State Government has directed all concerned to maintain normal functioning of Government offices and other services during the bandh period.
