In Assam, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal is going to inaugurate a new world class library, 'Bharat Ratn Dr A P J Abdul Kalam Learning Resource Centre in National Institute of Technology (NIT), Silchar today. The library is established with the help of university of Illinois, USA. <br/><br/>The library is one of kind in the entire north-eastern region equipped with modern technology and infrastructure. NIT Silchar has invested approximately 28 crore rupees to create a world class library in the 80 thousand square feet carpet area. <br/> <br/>During his day-long tour, Chief Minister will also take part in other programs organized by Assam University, Silchar Medical College and Hospital and Cachar Cancer Institute. He will also inaugurate a start up centre in NIT Silchar under the start up India campaign launched by Prime Minister.
