In Assam, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi will on Monday allocate the portfolios of the newly inducted Ministers of the State Cabinet. 18 Ministers, comprising 14 Cabinet and four Ministers of State with independent charge were inducted into the Tarun Gogoi-led Congress Ministry on Friday. AIR Correspondent reports that the newly-elected 126 legislators of the 13th Assam Assembly will take oath in the House on the 6th of June. The senior-most Congress Legislator and former Chief Minister Dr. Bhumidhar Barman, who has been designated as the Protem Speaker will administer the oath to the newly-elected members in the House on the opening day of the three-day Assembly Session. AIR correspondent reports, the State Governor J.B.Patnaik will address the Assembly on the second day.
