<span style="color: #222222;">Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today visited the erosion and flood hit areas of Lakhimpur and Dhemaji districts.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr. Sonowal first visited the erosion hit areas of Thekerajan in Lakhimpur caused by the Subansiri river.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">During his visit, he&nbsp; interacted with the officials of the Water Resources department and took stock of the measures taken by the department to mitigate the effects of erosion.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He also directed the department to take appropriate steps for reducing the menace of erosion.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Later, the Chief Minister&nbsp; Mr. Sonowal&nbsp; visited Bhoj revenue village at&nbsp; Dhemaji district.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr. Sonowal also interacted with the flood affected people and distributed relief materials among them.&nbsp; Though the flood situation in the state has improved, still nearly 18 lakh people are affected .</span><br />'' &nbsp;
