Assam Chief Minister Mr. Tarun Gogoi reviewed the flood situation of the State at a high-level meeting in Dispur today. The Chief Minister has instructed the Deputy Commissioners of the districts to prepare action plan to face the challenge of possible floods in the State. He also asked his ministerial colleagues to strictly monitor the situation in their respective districts. Mr. Gogoi also asked the concerned departments the ensure buffer stock of all essential commodities for relief operations among the flood victims.<br/><br/> According to a Central Water Commission report this evening, the Brahmaputra is flowing one metre forty centimetre above the danger level in Dibrugarh. The water level of the mighty river is in a rising trend from Dibrugarh to Dhubri. The Puthimari river is also flowing above the danger mark.<br/>
