Assam Chief Minister Mr. Tarun Gogoi today inaugurated an international trade centre at Mankachar in South Salmara sub-division of Dhubri district. The trade centre has been built at a cost of around five crore rupees.Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the trade centre would help boost the economy in the border district. He added that it would directly or indirectly help provide employment to a large section of younger generation in the district. The trade centre comes into being following a trade treaty between India and Bangladesh signed in 2001.
