Similar report has also been telecast by a local TV channel where Rajkhowa said that he was speaking from some location in Bangladesh and claimed that reports of his arrest were aimed at creating confusion and derailing the peace process in Assam.

Meanwhile, BJP on Thursday demanded that the government give the details of the ongoing talks with insurgent group ULFA. Talking to reporters outside the Parliament, party leader Ravishankar Prasad said that government should take Parliament and nation in confidence before proceeding with the talks.
