Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma appealed to ULFA Independent Chief Paresh Baruah to join in the peace process. Replying to the Governor's speech in the state assembly today, Dr. Sarma urged the ULFA Chief to shun violence and join the mainstream. The Chief Minister asserted that no one would be allowed to disturb the peace process in the Bodoland Territorial Region.&nbsp;<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">He said that all steps would be taken to fulfil the aspirations of the people in BTR. Dr. Sarma further said that the government would sign a peace accord with militant outfits at Karbi Anglong district. Meanwhile, BJP legislator from Bokajan assembly constituency Dr. Numal Momin has been elected as the Deputy Speaker of the Assam assembly today.</span><br />
