Assam Chief Minister has asked for CBI inquiry of all rhino killings in the last three years. Official statement issued today in Guwahati said that Assam government will give award of five lakh rupees for providing information of poachers. Poachers today chopped off horn of a live rhino at Kaziranga National Park. This is the second incident within 24 hours.Assam government has intensified patrolling in and around Kaziranga park. State Forest minister said that army is likely to be deployed at adjoining areas of the park.Meanwhile, flood conditions remain grim in parts of Lower Assam. Official sources said that the death toll has gone up 19 while another 10 remained missing. Three senior ministers of state government visited flood hit Rangia and Nalbari and took stock of the situation. More than 31 lakh people in 19 districts have been affected in recent wave of flood.
