Assam Budget Session to begin on2nd March

The month-long Budget Session of the Assam Legislative Assembly will begin at Dispur from 2nd of next month with the address by the Governor Janaki Ballav Pattanaik. The House will sit for altogether 19 days during the Session. The Chief Minister Mr. Tarun Gogoi who is also holding the Finance portfolio, will present the State Budget for the year 2010-2011 in the Assembly on 15th March and it is likely to be passed on 29th March. AIR Guwahati Correspondent reports, besides several important Bills, the House will take up for a number of important burning issues including the peace talks with the banned ULFA and upgradation of National Register of Citizens.
