The opposition Congress and AIUDF staged walk out today in the first day of the Assam budget assembly session protesting the decision of the Speaker on reserving the ruling on an adjournment motion. The opposition parties raised adjournment motion on CAA and related issues. Speaking on behalf of the motion, AIUDF legislator Hafiz Bashir Ahmed said that the Citizenship Amendment Act is against the spirit of the Assam Accord. <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #313131;">Leader of the opposition Debabrata Saikia said that government has violated the freedom of expression by imposing 144 during CAA protest.  Replying to the adjournment motion, Assam Industry Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary said that the Assam government is ready to discuss the issue but adjournment motion is not required as the matter is sub-judice . Mr. Patowary said that the opposition could raise the issue through other devices. After the discussion,  Speaker Hitendra Nath Goswami reserved the ruling till tomorrow. Protesting to it, opposition legislators gathered in front of the Speaker and raised slogans opposing CAA and other issues. Later, opposition legislators staged a walk out from the house.</span><br />
