In Assam, the State Election Commission has announced poll schedule for the 40 members Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC). As per the schedule, the two phase polls will be held on 7th and 10th of next month. <br />''<br />''Counting of votes will be held on 12th of December. State Election Commissioner Alok Kumar said that the first phase will cover  Udalguri and Baksa districts while Kokrajhar and Chirang will be covered in the second phase.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports that the election process had to be deferred earlier due to Covid pandemic. Poll process will be conducted strictly following the broad guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India.  The political activities in the BTC has already gained momentum as most of the political parties are holding rallies to woo the voters.</span><br />
