<span style="color: #222222;">In Assam, Bongaigaon district administration has taken a slew of measures for green energy. Talking to AIR, Deputy Commissioner MS Lakshmi Priya said that the Project Puhar is being implemented in the district to attain Green Bongaigaon.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Under the Project Puhar, 1000 solar street lights are being installed with the help of Indian Oil Corporation Limited under their CSR initiative. 500 street lights have already been installed in the district. The Deputy Commissioner Dr. MS Lakshmi Priya said , under Project Alok which is a component of Project Puhar at least 4 solar street lights to be installed in 1000 government schools.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Dr. Lakshmi Priya further mentioned that energy efficient lights and solar panels are also being put up in government offices in the district.</span><br />
