In Assam, several senior leaders of various political parties have submitted nomination papers today for the first phase of polls. Polling will be held for 47 seats in the first phase on 27th of this month. Tomorrow is the last date of filing nomination papers in this phase. State Congress President Ripun Bora, Asom Gana Parishad President Atul Bora and Executive President Keshab Mahanta submitted nomination papers.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Jailed leader of Raijor Dal Akhil Gogoi also filed nomination at Gauhati  medical college and hospital. Senior BJP leader and Speaker of the state Assembly Hitendra Nath Goswami at Jorhat , Handloom and Textile Minister Ranjit Dutta filed nomination at Behali seat. President of Assam Jatiya Parishad Lurinjyoti Gogoi and senior leader of the party Jagdish Bhuyan too filed nomination. Meanwhile, Senior BJP leader Sarbananda Sonowal held a poll rally at Bokakhat while senior leader Himanta Biswa Sarma did a road show at Golaghat. </span><br />
