<span style="color: #222222;">Assam is all set to celebrate Gujarat and Maharashtra statehood day today. A cultural event will be held this evening at Raj Bhawan in Guwahati in presence of Governor Gulab Chand Kataria. Folk artists from both the states will perform cultural events in presence of distinguished guests. There are sizable Gujarati and Maharashtrian populations residing in Assam and also contributing towards the development of the state.</span><br />
